Haldane Fisher’s initial requirement was an agency to manage their ongoing day-to-day design requirements. Over time this requirement expanded to also requiring assistance with their digital strategy, initially for their brochure website and then when they moved to a full blown Magento eCommerce website.
Haldane Fisher are Northern Ireland’s largest builders merchants with over 20 branches throughout the UK, who we have worked with since 2013. They supply a large range of products to both trade and retail customers offering everything from doors and floors, kitchens and bathrooms to timber, building materials and plumbing and heating supplies.
They have a fully functioning Marketing Department but were conscious they needed expert assistance to grow their online presence, initially with the brochure site for the parent brand, which evolved into a full blown Magento eCommerce website with over 10,000 products listed. Plus new brochure sites and support for sub-brands.
- Ongoing day to day design including in branch POS, brochures, promotional campaigns, exhibitions, catalogues and print
- Creation of brand identities for sub brands to highlight the Door department & Kitchen department
- Design of print, outdoor and online advertising
- Create and manage a digital strategy for their existing brochure website and more recently their new eCommerce site.
We work with Haldane Fisher and a number of their sub-brands to maximise and maintain organic traffic to their websites. Our ongoing SEO strategy involves detailed on-site optimisation, the regular creation of optimised content, usability analysis and outreach to industry influencers.
Prior to the launch of the eCommerce site (3 months into a pandemic!), Cornell worked closely with Haldane Fisher’s marketing team on their brochure site.
We activated the SEO strategy for the eCommerce site approximately six months before launch, identifying keywords for a wide range of products and agreeing the on-page and off-page strategy required to deliver maximum impact, collaborating with their eCommerce provider to ensure a smooth migration to the new site.
Ongoing analysis, constant evaluation and a robust monthly reporting process ensures excellent results with 59% growth in organic traffic in the last year, organic revenue increasing by 439% in the last year plus a 14% increase in targeted keyword rankings in the last 12 months.
The success of Haldane Fisher’s digital offering was recognised when they scooped ‘Online & Digital Strategy of the Year’ at the Builders’ Merchants News Awards in February 2022.
