McAlister Builders has been a Cornell client for almost 21 years. Having worked with them on many of their signature luxury home building projects – including Paddock Lane, Ballymoney and Harbour View, Portrush – McAlister were confident we could assist with their latest development.

The client approached us with Rathlin Road, a small select development of four homes in a prime coastal location in Ballycastle. The McAlister brothers wanted to appeal to discerning buyers – possibly NI expats – charmed by the scenery, friendliness and convenience of Northern Ireland, but seeking London-style luxury accommodation.
With two semi-detached, three-floor five beds, and two detached, two-floor four beds, these are high-end properties featuring high spec fit out and finish in every detail. In collaboration with Ballycastle Homecare, each of the homes were fitted with top of the range kitchens, appliances and bathrooms, and featured bespoke multi purpose outdoor rooms and spacious private patios and lawns.
McAlister Builders required a high-spec digital content package and upmarket branding to convey the exclusivity and quality of the homes and to reach local, national and international buyers.

Our first task was to bring the pre-build development to life. Liaising with the architects, we created photorealistic visuals, including drone video and photography, 360 degree 3D ‘walkthrough’ visualisations and an animated logo reel for the client at the end of the video.
As well as the house types and floor plans, the microsite showcased Ballycastle, its surrounding locale, and Northern Ireland. It was important to sell both the location and the lifestyle these desirable homes would offer, to the most discerning buyer.
Cornell then created branding for the site, a process drawn from 20 years of experience in property marketing. Our designers drew on the coastal location to produce an elegant, modern logo inspired by natural imagery.
As well as the microsite filled with immersive, true-to-life imagery, we were well placed to create complementary marketing collateral, including brochures and site signage.
This was Cornell’s first time collaborating with the client’s partner estate agent, Colliers International, so we were delighted by their positive feedback. As an international brand, they have often engaged marketing agencies to create the necessary marketing collateral for high end campaigns. Our turnaround and quality made their job “much easier” which we were very pleased to hear.
Initial interest has been very positive, both locally and further afield. The high standard of the homes is ideal for the international buyer looking for luxury accommodation, so we are proud that the microsite is optimised to reach this key market.
